The project funded by the Australian Government - Attorney-General's Department 'Promoting Implementation of ILO Standards in Pacific Island Countries (PICs)’ objective is to build capacity, knowledge and consensus on how to implement International Labour Standards (ILS) in the region to address some of the key development and labour market challenges.

Access project dashboardILS provide policy guidance on how to address some of the most pressing human rights breaches, and key challenges in national labour market.
ILO is committed to assist ILO member States to strengthen their implementation of ratified ILS, institutional capacity building, and foster awareness on the importance of ILS.
The project target to assist all PICs so they are in a better position to pursue a human-centered approach to development.
The beneficiaries of the project are the PIC governments, employers’, and workers’
Project outcomes
Outcome 1PICs benefit from strengthen legal and policy frameworks relating to ILS.
Outcome 2
Governments, employers’ and workers’ organizations are more consistently and comprehensively.
