Sudan
Sudan has been member of the International Labour Organisation since 1956, ratifying 18 international labour Conventions and 1 Protocol. The ILO's initiatives in the country center on promoting decent work and enhancing labour rights, with a strong focus on harmonizing national labour laws with international labour standards. ILO technical and financial assistance aims to improve employment opportunities, ensure social protection, and strengthen dialogue between the government, workers, and employers, fostering a stable and just work environment across the country. ILO activities in Sudan are managed by the ILO Country Office for Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, Sudan and South Sudan, based in Addis Ababa.
