Workshop: Social and Solidarity Economy for Advancing the Sustainable Development Goals in Asia
This workshop will convene policymakers, representatives of employers’ and workers’ organizations, international organizations, social and solidarity economy networks, and practitioners to discuss ways to strengthen the social and solidarity economy’s contribution to decent work and the Sustainable Development Goals in Asia and the Pacific.
This workshop, is part of the Strengthening the Social and Solidarity Economy in Asia – Phase 2 project.
It will:
- Strengthen the understanding of the ILO constituents and partners in the region on the social and solidarity economy, and its contribution to decent work and sustainable development based on the findings from four country case studies (Cambodia, Mongolia, Thailand, and Vietnam) and good practices;
- Enhance the regional network on promoting the social and solidarity economy by providing a platform for policymakers, organizations, support institutions and practitioners to share knowledge, know-how and good practices; and
- Discuss the national action plans to operationalize the policy recommendations to strengthen the social and solidarity economy in the four countries.
